FAQ

Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm based out of Winchester, VA and consider travel requests on a case by case basis. Additional travel fees will apply if not within a 30 minute radius.

When will we get our photos?

You will typically receive an emailed link [via the email address you provided] to your online proofing gallery within 1-2 weeks of your session. Your will receive a link to your final gallery within approx. 2 weeks after having made your selections.

How many photos are typically available for purchase in my proofing gallery?

Image amounts vary, but as an example proofing galleries will typically contain between 40-60 (per hour) from which to make your selections. Please note the amount of digitals included in your chosen package. Any additional selections will be at an additional cost.

Do you offer discounts?

Occasionally I will run a limited special–follow Victoria Christine Photography on Facebook to be alerted!
Return clients receive two images in addition to those included in their package as a thank you from me! <3

Do you Pose/Direct during sessions?

This may seem an odd question, but some prefer posed photos and others prefer candid. It's helpful to have an idea of what to expect.
I do a combination of both posed and candid. I'll aim to get the classic "all eyes on me" shot but also use prompts like "Everyone tickle mommy and daddy!" for some candid ones.

What's Your Editing Style?

When it comes to editing styles there are as many variations as there are leaves on the trees. There's not necessarily any right or wrong way to do art, but it's important to find a photographer whose style matches your personal preferences, so I encourage all prospective clients to view my portfolio and become familiar with my style of shooting and editing.
That said, I edit fairly "true to color" and like to create and keep contrast in my photos.
I hand edit each individual photo (meaning, I don't simply apply a filter/preset) to meet my personal standards for the work I deliver. I always aim to get as close to ideal as possible in-camera, but still refine my work in my editing, and I truly believe photography + editing are an art form. So much of a photographer's time and talents are invested in both the shooting *and* editing process!
Please note that because I feel that every photo I deliver is a representation of my work and a good chunk of my work lies in my editing, I do not release unedited images under any circumstances.

Do you shoot weddings?

I have gotten this one a lot.
The answer is no, at least not currently. I have second shot and been the main shooter in the past, but I'm not taking wedding clients right now for personal reasons.
