With a professional background as preschool teacher and as a mama myself, I do not underestimate the impact that today's investments will have on future generations, and consider it a privilege to document the early years of these precious ones.
The infant and childhood portraits of my own children are some of my most treasured earthly possessions, and it is my aim that yours will be the same for you!
Outdoor Milestone Portraits
These sessions often lend themselves to a more playful, candid feel within a child's natural play environment. With a wide variety of available locations ranging from river to arboretum to your backyard, they often involve activities like water play, leaf piles, apple picking or something equally fun.
They may also be as formal as a historic garden with boutique dress for pageant photos, however. The sky truly is the limit. These sessions fall under my standard investment packages, and the client provides all wardrobe and props.
In-home Studio Portraits
These classic portraits are photographed where your child is most at rest–in your own home.
I bring professional studio backdrop and lighting equipment to your doorstep to set up wherever is most convenient within your home, ensuring their comfort and minimizing distractions.
During your child's session I will capture multiple angles and expressions for a variety from which you will later choose your favorites.
These are some of my most in-depth portraits as each one is meticulously photographed with detailed skin retouching for an effect resembling a fine art painting or vintage portrait.
Each heirloom portrait session includes detailed styling assistance and neutral client wardrobe options for my white-on white signature look. Alternative background and styling options are available. These sessions include heirloom quality prints as well as digitals and a composite of your images as seen here. They are not time based.

What is a children's Milestone Session like?
Let's ask them! Haha that might sound a little silly, because kids are hilariously unpredictable at times. But that's the point! Your children are beautiful and amazing little humans just as they are, and when I take photos of kids, I let them lead. If they're old enough I'll guide them to a pose, or a place to sit or stand at times, but if they're very young I really spend the first little bit getting a feel for their personality and gauging their comfort level, then base my interaction with them on that.
Parents know their little ones better than anyone. Prior to a milestone session I will ask questions about your child's preferences and interests so I that am prepared to interact on their level and speak their language. In our house we're currently all about Paw Patrol!
Full disclosure: I act a fool during sessions involving children. I've been known to wear a clown nose, flashing lights on my head, and carry squeakers in my pocket. So be prepared, and don't mind me. Normally I'm actually somewhat of a reserved person, but for your littles I bring out all the stops to bring out all the smiles.
